Mariah Carey serves sensational vocals on her new track with Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis Somewhat Loved (There You Go Breakin’ My Heart).
The R&B tune is the latest to be listed from the iconic production duo’s debut album ‘Jam & Lewis, Vol. 1’, due July 9.
“When we started ‘Jam & Lewis, Vol. 1’, we put a wish-list together of all our favorite artists,” they said of the new single.
“The chance to reunite with our friend and fellow Songwriters Hall of Fame partner Mariah was wish list fulfilment at its finest.”
Jam & Lewis previously worked with Mariah on her ‘Rainbow’ and ‘Glitter’ albums.
Alongside Somewhat Loved (There You Go Breakin’ My Heart), the pair dropped the tracklist for their forthcoming LP, due July 9, featuring ‘90s legends including Toni Braxton, Babyface, Mary J. Blige, Boyz II Men and more.
One star who’s noticeably absent from the set is Janet Jackson, who is believed to have recorded material for the LP but doesn’t appear on the initial list.
Jam & Lewis began working with Janet in 1986 on her third album ‘Control’ and helmed classic records including ‘Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814’, ‘The Velvet Rope’ and ‘All For You’.
